The promise of something new.

And that can mean the promise of something new with respect to creativity – including creativity in music.

I’m a huge supporter of women and girls in music.

Singers, songwriters, composers, lyricists, producers.

Including the beautiful and creative Kesha Sebert.

Given the reports of creative oppression that Kesha had while working on past albums, listening to this album is a breath of fresh air.

I’m serious.

Discovery.

Adventure.

Exploration.

Music gives us the opportunity to explore creativity.

Pop.

Borderline folk.

Country vibes. Boots, is a fun, upbeat number. Kesha sings that she’s “walking on air, kickin’ [her] blues”. It’s a creative lyrics.

There’s fun, lighthearted lyrics.

Godzilla is a cute, adorable lullaby-like song. At just over two minutes, the song is short and sweet.

And there’s heartfelt lyrics.

Praying is a beautiful and inspirational ballad.

The pre-chorus and chorus portray the singer taking a stand.

Rainbow, the title track, is my favourite track on the album.

I’ve had the chorus stuck in my head for about five days after listening to it a few times.

Narrative. The singer sings of personal experience while encouraging others to not lose hope. To not stop dreaming.
